WDI and termite inspections
Many lenders and purchase contracts require a wood-destroying insect (WDI) inspection before settlement. Our inspectors are MSPCA WDI-O credentialed (#439 and #722). We inspect the accessible areas of the home for termites and other wood-destroying insects, note evidence of past or present activity and conducive conditions, and deliver a report you can hand to the lender.
If we find activity, we can explain the options for treatment and repair, including structural repairs under our Maryland Home Improvement Contractor license (MHIC 119520).
Well water sampling
Homes on private wells often need a water test before settlement. As MDE Drinking Water Certified Samplers, we collect samples following the required procedures so results are accepted for the transaction.

What is a WDI inspection?
A wood-destroying insect inspection checks a home for termites and other insects that damage wood. It is commonly required by lenders before settlement.
Who can order the inspection?
Buyers, sellers and real estate agents can all schedule inspections with us. Just let us know who should receive the report.
Do you collect well water samples too?
Yes. Our team includes MDE Drinking Water Certified Samplers who can collect well water samples for the same transaction.
What happens if termites are found?
We note it on the report and explain the options for treatment and any needed repairs so the parties can decide how to proceed.
